Primarily, the role is to collect and move NHS Trust vehicles (including ambulances) as and when required so they are in the right place for operational crews to use at the start of their shift. Other vehicle moves will be required as will joining the Make Ready team with the preparation of vehicles.

You will be responsible for the safe collection and delivery of Trust vehicles. This will both include movement between stations, between stations and Trust workshops, or between stations and other designated vehicle repairers. Occasional pickup from other locations may also be required. 

To clean ambulances for operational duty to agreed Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) quality standards for the benefit of our patients and staff.

To undertake extended road tests of vehicles as advised or required after either a Trust workshop or other workshop repair has been undertaken prior to them going back into service, reporting any concerns back to the workshops.

To represent the Trust and drive in such a manner that reflects the type of vehicle that they will be expected to drive, eg an A&E Double Staffed Ambulance (DSA)
